PSA Research Training & Development AwardThis award is new to 2009. It has now been apparent for a while that there is a gap in the available awards for postgraduate students. Currently, no awards exist for students who require extra funding for lab/research equipment or for Masters and PhD students attending workshops, seminars and professional development days and many have had to fund these costs out of their own pocket, or simply miss out. It is hoped that this award will fill that gap. The PSA will make available $1500 in each semester to fund PSA Research Training & Development Awards. The maximum amount that can be applied for is $500 however it is envisaged that most requests will be for smaller sums. The PSA will then provide as many awards as they can with the $1500 limit. These awards are open to both PhD students and Masters students and the awards can be applied for retrospectively (after the event). It is expected that there will be a wide variety of possible uses for the awards, and successful applications will be those that potentially provide the greatest advantage to the recipients. 2009 Below are the Application form and guidelines. |
