Point Ann lies on West Australia’s south coast approximately 180km east of Albany, within the Fitzgerald Biosphere, a UNESCO designated International Biosphere Reserve and one of the largest and biologically significant National Parks in Australia (DEC).  Point Ann can be accessed via boat from Bremer Bay or by road from the South Coast Highway.

As one of the more difficult sites to access, the amount of work we were able to achieve at this location was primarily due to the efforts and skill of local fisher, (and our skipper) Marcus Grey (featured in the image top right).

UPDATE:

The study area at Point Ann has now been mapped, and biodiversity attributes sampled. Please see the data downloading website (www.marinefutures.info) for the finished outputs from this study location.
