"Representing the needs of cyclists on and around campus."People make fun of the name, but the UWA BUG is concerned with the serious issues of safety, security and comfort for cyclists at the University of Western Australia. We also seek to encourage cycling as a means of transport for staff and students of UWA |
| Information on this website comes from a number of sources and from the personal knowledge of BUG members. However a major source of information is the simple but excellent series of pamphlets produced by Bike West, which is part of the Department for Planning and Infrastructure (www.dpi.wa.gov.au). Pamphlets are available regarding Choosing a Bike and Accessories, Cycling for Health Pleasure or to Work, Cycling on Roads and Shared Paths, Cycling at Night, Basic Bicycle Maintenance, Cycling for All Ages, Cycling and the Law, and Shopping by Bike. These pamphlets are also available online (Click here), on audiotape, computer disk, large print or Braille. Contact the DPI on 9216 8000 if you are interested in obtaining a a copy. |
